Meet the team - Dean

Name – Dean
Home town – Reading
Interests – Biking (Of course!) Climbing and, much to the teams amusement, my Peugeot 306 rallye.
Bikes – 3 Cannondale hardtails, Cannondale 1FG singlespeed, 1 Cannondale road bike, Pinnacle Tharpu 3, Pinnacle Lagerra 2 and a Specialized singlecross.
Favourite type of riding – Mainly XC or out in the mountains. Love climbing as well as descending.
Favourite riding area – UK, Lakes, Brecons, 7 Stanes. Abroad, Gotta be the French Alps
Food – Meat, is there anything better than a mixed grill?
Favourite quote – Always liked "your scientists spent so long wondering if the could, they didn't stop to think if they should" from Jurassic Park ( but I think applies to some scientist in the real world as well)
Most likely to be found at the event – Here, there, everywhere.
Anything else you think we should know – Have accepted an offer and am now un-available :-)

Hmmmmm.

I didn't take off any clothes or need to apologise to anyone the next morning, so pretty good. Must be getting old.

Random Woman? Woke up on my own so can't have caught her!

Who are you BTW?

Dean

I wanted to do one of your rides, but don't want to get that dirty... is that possible?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

Depends on the good old english weather.

Photo was taken in the Alps btw.

Great.... last question....I tend to cycle with all the kit in case of puncture etc but does your team send people out on the rides in case of bike failure to help repair? Rides look good, am booking myself on the next on now I won't get quite so splattered.

Hi. Will there be a place at the start/finish to leave bags and things on 17 May?

Cheers

You'll be able to leave your bags with us.

I'm trying to get a secure place at the moment in one of the offices accessed by staff only.

If not, they'll be put behind registration.

Either way, Evans do not accept ownership or liability for the bags or contents.

Cheers
Dean

there's all manner of train cancellations on sunday, rail replacements on the thameslink either side of london bridge and no trains running before 7:00. Have you thought about extending the start/end times for those doing the full sportif who are relying on public transport?

Will there be some time for sunbathing after the ride in Brighton? LOL!!! can't wait, your reides are soooooooooo cool!

The Ride It! Team said...

Yes Lisa, you can suntan after the ride.

We'll be setting out an topless section area in a nearby field if you're interested......

Hi Dean

Now that this weekend's night ride (Berkshire) has been cancelled, what's going to happen to selling off the demo Exposure kit that you told us about at Dorking?

The Ride It! Team said...

Hi William.

I'm just getting a price for all the kit and then they'll be sold off.

If you want first dibs then send me a mail and I'll out you on the list.

Dean, is there any chance of a GPX file for the medium off-road route for this weekend?

Hi

If you have an event query it's best to post it on a thread related to that event.

The gpx routes will be available as per the posts on the TCR show on the front page.

Thanks
Dean
