Rider times Brighton 10

Gore's new summer range is in! ( Or don't loose a bet at a golf match)

MTB Times are here:-

Brighton 10 MTB times

Any changes, please mail me at Dean.stacey@evanscycles.com

Sportive ones coming tonight/tomorrow - we've had a glitch.........

Basically the info stopped being sent from the matts to the reader. This is why we take your numbers at the start and end of the ride. I have just spent the best part of a day sorting numbers, changing them to times, working out ride times and then averages. This means times are down to the minute not second, but everyone is the same boat, sorry about this.

Hatfield/North London dates

In the light of the Peaks website issues, I'd like to confirm that the Hatfield/North London event date changed some time ago to the 17/18th. So it's NOT this weekend but the following one.

Just making sure everyone knows!!

Peaks Rider Times

Hi

Thanks to everyone who showed up over the weekend for our toughest Ride It of the year. Despite the problems with the website gradings, the majority of riders had a great, if hard ride in the Peaks. Despite the Sportive ride being reduced to 68miles, no one took the offer to ride the long loop twice and extend their ride to 90miles, which I think justifies the reduction in miles ( Although the wind might have had something to do with it! )

On both days there was a local photographer on the route, photos available here:-

Although with so many events being run on Sunday on the same roads, quite a few on the pics are not from our ride - good hunting!!

So to the times. Quite a lot of slow averages, especially on the MTB ride, but that was only to be expected with those pesky hills. Excel spreadsheets will be available on the main Evans Ride It website in the near future.

Peaks this weekend

Firstly a few apologies.

There's been a few discrepancies with the Peaks page of our website. Firstly there was a Long MTB route shown and secondly the grades where wrong, these have been rectified and hope fully everyone who was pre-entered has had a mail from me stating the changes.

Simply put. The ride was shown as much easier than it is and therefore the ride distances are actually less than shown as the routes are harder!

Anyway, the routes are out and the riding is great as usual, a small shower last night has dampened down the trail dust and the roads are in pretty good condition!

The off-road route takes you over Jacobs ladder (Medium route) and the Sportive takes on Snake Pass, two classics of the area, so get those cycling legs on :-)
Lastly, if you're training for an Ironman event like Keith, don't forget your towel as the campsite doesn't do "Macho"

But do make sure you remember your inflatable mattress with electric pump ( because pumping it up by hand is a bit too much effort!!)

Cheers
Dean
